Rhenus Logistics Spain has closed the acquisition of Aduanas Alié

Rhenus

The Rhenus Group acquires the Spanish company Aduanas Alié, which specialises in providing customs services and has presence in Morocco and the Maghreb.

This acquisition represents another step in the expansion strategy of the Rhenus Group’s subsidiary in Spain, Rhenus Logistics Spain, reinforcing its operations involving traffic flows with Morocco, a market considered as strategic for the group. This commitment has been in place since 2008, through the logistics services provided by Rhenus and, particularly, after the inauguration of the office in Tangier, the first on the African continent, in 2015. The main aim of this operation is to boost the development and consolidation of domestic and international ground services.

For Andreu Gutiérrez, Country Sales Director Road of Rhenus Logistics in Spain, “Morocco has become a regional leader and more and more companies are positioning themselves in this market, particularly in Tangier – a business and logistics hub of international relevance”. In this sense, Andreu Gutiérrez considers that with the acquisition of Aduanas Alié, “we are not only able to increase our reach and strengthen our presence in Africa, but we also do so while offering the best service and expanding the coverage of our logistics network in a fast-growing region.”

Furthermore, Jordi Alié, the Managing Director of Aduanas Alié, highlights the enormous possibilities offered by the synergies between two century-old companies. “We’re very happy to join Rhenus, a company with which we share values and a commitment to quality. There’s so much more we can do together.”
