Rhenus enhances its expertise in wood logistics by acquiring Bruno Reimann

Rhenus

The Rhenus Group acquires Bruno Reimann GmbH & Co. KG, a logistics specialist in unprocessed wood and marketing sawn timber, waste wood and wood used for energy purposes. Bruno Reimann has its headquarters in Bad Harzburg in the Rural District of Goslar in Lower Saxony in a German area that has plenty of forests, the Harz region.

Bruno Reimann GmbH & Co. KG operates right across the value-added chain for wood – ranging from initially harvesting the wood to using the material. Its customers include the timber, the sawmill and the cellulose industries, the energy sector as well as local authorities, trades and private consumers. The company’s core expertise involves intermodal system-related logistics for supplying raw materials over large distances. Bruno Reiman has three of its own freight railway depots for this purpose – in Langelsheim (Goslar Rural District), Herzberg am Harz (Göttingen) and Stadtoldendorf (Holzminden).

The firm will continue to operate as an independent company as part of the Rhenus Group. The directors will not only include Klaus Reimann in future, but also Heiner Höfkes, who is the Managing Director of Rhenus Forest Logistics.
