Rhenus acquires KundenProfi in Germany

Rhenus

Rhenus is expanding its involvement in customer relations management by taking over KundenProfi Gesellschaft für Kundenmanagement mbH in Bamberg and Hof, Germany, with its 240 employees. The purchase agreement with the previous owner, BI-LOG Service Group GmbH, comes into effect on 1 July. The expanded services particularly enhance the Rhenus Media business unit.

“Rhenus Media is already operating in the fields of customer relations management and handles accounts receivable for various publishing houses. We’re taking over an experienced team at the two KundenProfi business sites in Bamberg and Hof. It’s been handling very demanding tasks for the energy sector, to name just one, for a long time. Then there’s the technical services field. Rhenus can now, for example, introduce extensive final customer support services for the online databases at the specialist publishing houses in this segment,” said Olaf Remmele, Managing Director of Rhenus Media Logistics. “Through the acquisition, we can offer existing and new customers a much broader range of services.”

KundenProfi provides its services using certified procedures for companies in the energy, technology, retail and finances sectors, for example. The 240 employees support their customers with high-quality solutions for all issues associated with their products and services, which arise as a result of their usage, sales, accounting and logistics.

“KundenProfi has been an owner-managed company since it was founded. Based on this history, it’s now important for us to place the company in the hands of a family-managed business, which also has a medium-sized enterprise culture. As a result of the takeover by Rhenus, it will be possible to press ahead with expanding the strategic business units at KundenProfi,” said Heribert Trunk, Managing Partner at the BI-LOG Service Group.

Once approval for the takeover has been received from the Federal Cartel Office, the company will be renamed Rhenus Kundenprofi. The responsibility for business operations will continue to lie with the current KundenProfi managers, even under the new shareholder, and it will integrate the activities within the Rhenus Media business unit.
