Nippon Express Taiwan (NE Taiwan), a local subsidiary of Nippon Express, has established a new logistics base, NEXT3 Warehouse, in Taoyuan City, northern Taiwan. The base was set up in May 2021, and business licenses for cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and medical equipment were obtained at the end of July 2021.

The base will aim to provide high-quality storage and distribution processing services through proper product management.

Featuring 8,240 sq m, of which 7,420 sq m is warehouse area, the new site operations are integrated with the adjacent NEXT2 Warehouse, which has a bonded area, making it possible to store both bonded and non-bonded cargo. A storage/work area compliant with Good Distribution Practice/Good Manufacturing Practice standards for pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and cosmetics has also been set up, and an application for certification by the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration is currently being processed.

Nippon believes that the hub is in a suitable location due to its proximity to the Greater Taipei Area, and both Taipei Port and Keelung Port as the company hopes to take advantage of its proximity to large urban areas to handle retail and EC-related products.  Additionally, Taoyuan City is close to Taoyuan International Airport and numerous manufacturing companies, sees relatively few natural disasters and has a steadily growing population.

NE Taiwan hopes that the warehouse will add to its international transport services by further expanding its logistic functions across Taiwan and by leveraging the Nippon’s Express Group’s global network.
