Nippon Express Canada opens Halifax Office

Nippon Express Canada Ltd. (NE Canada), has opened a Halifax Office in the south-eastern Canadian province of Nova Scotia. A centre for fishery products such as fish and shellfish, Halifax serves as a hub for the distribution of fishery products via Halifax Port and Halifax Stanfield International Airport.

The volume of containers handled at Halifax Port (560,000 TEUs) and the volume of export air cargo handled at Halifax International Airport (34,000 tonnes) in FY2017 both set record highs, and future increases in the cargo handled at these facilities are anticipated by NE Canada.

In opening an office in this area, NE Canada is seeking to provide better transport services to customers, primarily targeting companies in the fishery products industry.

This Halifax Office is the company’s eighth business location in Canada.
