Nacex has opened a new platform at Barberà del Vallès, Spain. The premises replace the platform the firm already had in the city, aiming to support the growth in its activity during recent years. Furthermore, it will provide services to agencies in the city and northern areas of Barcelona province. It also provides support to the company facility at Hospitalet de Llobregat.

The new platform is on a 15,000 sq m plot with over 7,000 sq m built. It has a 4,000 sq m area for crossdocking and a 2,100 sq m warehouse for 4,000 pallets, a -25°C controlled temperature chamber, as well as 1,200 sq m for office space and common areas. The new premises have docks for 40 vans and 20 trucks, as well as 11 vehicle ramps.

With this new facility, Nacex claims it will provide sortation and dispatching for 8,000 packages per hour. The platform is able to trace packages through the application of bar code reading, weight verification and physical surveillance (CCTV). In addition, it also maintains thermal traceability for every package transported through the Nacex Pharma service.
