Mainfreight announced that it has opened a new branch providing a full range of air and ocean services in London, UK.
The new facility is located near London Heathrow Terminal 4 and includes an 8,000 sq ft warehouse. Mainfreight now has UK air freight and ocean freight teams handling door-to-door import and export shipments, customs clearance and documentation, consolidation services, and UK and European distribution.
The opening marks Mainfreight’s first venture into the UK and the company has stated it will help with the provision of additional trade lanes, whilst reducing its exposure to agents. The company has also stated that it remains focused on continuous improvement in quality and service, as well as on increased profitability across its European business.
With the new opening, Mainfreight extends its global network to 239 branches in 21 countries. In Europe the company is now present in Belgium, France, Germany, Poland, Romania, Russia, the Netherlands, Ukraine and the UK.
