Maersk acquires Vandegrift

Maersk has announced the acquisition of Vandegrift Inc., a US-based customs brokerage and logistics business. The acquisition will strengthen Maersk’s logistics presence in North America whilst broadening its service offering to customers. Customs house brokerage is a key component in Maersk’s strategy to become an integrated container logistics company, providing end-to-end solutions to customers.The price nor terms have been disclosed.

Vandegrift is a customs brokerage business established in 1951. Its base is in New Jersey, US. The core business is customs brokerage with 170 people in 12 offices.
