Kuehne + Nagel has announced operations at a 130,000 sq ft unit located at Heathrow’s South Cargo Centre have begun. Heathrow Cargo Centre is a dedicated UK air freight hub adjacent to the Heathrow cargo area.
The new warehouse is temperature controlled and monitored at 15-25 degrees Celsius with a dedicated 2-8 degree Celsius area and is supported with regulatory requirements including MHRA and GXP certifications. The facility is expected to provide increased capacity for further expansion with the ability to grow as client requirements change.
In addition to the existing KN PharmaChain operation, the KN FreshChain service is expected to offer knowledge of cargo temperature requirements, global expertise in climatic variations, and access to a wide range of value-added services.
