K&S Corporation announce revenue growth


K&S Corporation produced total revenues of A$*755.2m in its 2017 fiscal year. This represented an increase of 9.7%. It made profit before tax of A$9.4m, compared against a loss of A$109.9m in 2016.

The Australian transport segment produced revenue growth of 8.9%, with the smaller New Zealand segment produced revenue growth of 21.3%.

In its press release, K&S stated that intermodal, contract logistics and New Zealand business segments all benefitted from an increase in volumes. The K&S Energy business achieved growth via new contracts in Western and South Australia.

In January 2017, the company merged with Scott’s Transport industries. The group said the integration process was consistent with pre-merger assumptions.
