Kuehne+ Nagel (K+N) has launched the AI-enabled digital freight platform etrucKNow.com to automatically match shipper’s requirements with carrier availability.

According to the company, through the platform, shippers get access to a simplified quotation and comparison process. Once shipment details are provided, an AI-enabled engine streamlines and automates the quotation comparison process by validating multiple data points and presents the customer with the most competitive quotation. K+N said that during the launch period customers will be able to get additional savings through promotion codes. According to K+N, etrucKNow.com will also provide real-time visibility, enabling shippers and carriers to always know where their shipments or drivers are, and receiving pro-active service alerts on delivery milestones.

Through the marketplace platform, etrucKNow also provides approved carriers with access to a network of shippers requiring road freight services, enabling them to sell their empty space. Interested truck vendors can register for an account on etrucKNow.com and are subject to a vetting and onboarding process.

The development of etrucKNow.com was supported by KPMG Digital Village. The system is due to launch first in Thailand, where the road freight market is projected to grow to over $31bn by 2023. Throughout 2019 and 2020, it will be rolled out to India, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand and Australia.

Chellan Ganesan, Vice President of Overland for K+ N’s South Asia Pacific said: “etrucKNow.com is an easy-to-use web application developed based on customers’ needs and market trends.”
