From August 1, 2016, IAG Cargo customers are expected to have access to a new Madrid, Spain to Johannesburg, South Africa route on the company’s network. The new route is due to become the only direct service operating from Madrid to Johannesburg. Connecting through IAG Cargo’s Madrid hub, the new route is planned to offer better connections between Africa and strategic markets such as Latin America.
The route is expected to be served by an Iberia A330-300 aircraft. With three weekly flights planned on the Madrid-Johannesburg route, the service is planned to complement the flights IAG Cargo already offers to these cities from its Heathrow hub.
