DSV opens new office in Oman

DSV has opened a new office in Muscat, Oman, and expanded its presence in the Middle East further. The new office has been fully operational since early January 2020.

Charles Francis, Country Manager for DSV in Oman, Qatar and Kuwait, said, “Oman has distinct advantages as a trans-shipment hub for Qatar”, and continues “Oman has become a pivotal geographical location for cargo flows to and from Qatar. Unlike some of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, Oman has not introduced economic sanctions against Qatar and its trade with Qatar has increased by more than three times since the embargo began two years ago”. Oman’s relatively good relations with Qatar have played a crucial role in the decision-making for the newest office addition, as it offers increased opportunities in the region, where it currently has 24 sites.
