DHL Express has appointed Alberto Nobis as its new CEO for Europe. Nobis has over 10 years of experience at DHL Express. He was the Global CFO for DHL Express from 2009 to 2012 and CEO of DHL Express Italy from 2013. He also covered several management positions as CFO and CEO for the time-definite shipping provider of the Deutsche Post DHL Group.

From January 1, 2019, Nobis has taken over responsibility for Express Europe from John Pearson, who became the Global CEO of DHL Express.

Pearson stated that Nobis’ management of DHL’s Express Italy has contributed to Italy becoming one of DHL’s largest and most successful markets.

In his new role, Nobis is responsible for almost 50 countries in Europe. His focus will be on DHL’s European performance in line with DHL Express’ core principles of customer centricity, employee engagement and profitable growth.
