Deutsche Post DHL Group partners with Argentina post office to boost international volume

Deutsche Post DHL Group has signed a memorandum of understanding with Correo Argentino, the Argentina post office, in a bid to increase international traffic.

According to a DHL press release, the agreement will see “a higher level of participation” of DHL Express services in Correo Argentino’s 1,500 point of sale across Argentina, in addition to “future collaboration” in e-commerce, the details of which would be worked out over the next six months.

“This partnership represents a great opportunity for Correo Argentino and Deutsche Post DHL Group to actively contribute to Argentina’s current growth-friendly environment, promoted by President Mauricio Macri, as this state-owned company works to become the leading provider of logistics services and expertise in the country,” said Thomas Baldry, Senior Vice President, International Mail & International Relations at Deutsche Post DHL.

He continued, “We are glad to provide operational and logistical support, as well as our company’s expertise and guidance as Correo Argentino enters a new period of opportunity and expansion.”
