Dachser has appointed two new managers in its Asia Pacific offices

Dachser Sweden

Dachser is filling management positions in Hong Kong and Malaysia with leaders from its ranks. This seems to follow the 2021 Air & Sea Logistics (ASL) management reorganization of its business units in Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and Americas regions.

The new Managing Director of Dachser Hong Kong, since July 1, 2022, is Marcel Schmidt (45), who reports to Kevin Chen, Managing Director of Air & Sea Logistics Greater China.

Schmidt began his career at Dachser in 1997 as an intern. Throughout his long-standing career with the company, Schmidt has held various positions in business processes and organization, operations management, air freight, and controlling the Air & Sea Logistics business field.

Since July 12, 2022, Mario Morich (33) has been Country Manager of Air & Sea Logistics for Dachser’s Malaysia country organization. He reports to Jesper Larsen, Managing Director of Air & Sea Logistics South East Asia.

Morich joined Dachser as a trainee in the student training program in 2012. After completing the program in Germany, he spent two years in India. In 2018, he moved to Thailand. During his time in South Asia, Morich held positions in the local distribution organization and other business fields. Most recently, he was Controlling Manager Air & Sea Logistics South East Asia.
