CMA CGM has announced an upgrade of its service to the French West Indies. During the first quarter of 2016, the PCRF line, which offers direct connections between the French West Indies and Northern Europe, is due to increase its capacity replacing current 2,200 TEU capacity vessels by 2,800 TEU capacity vessels. In addition, CMA CGM plans to add two new calls at the Zeebrugge, Belgium and Rotterdam, the Netherlands. These additional port calls are expected to offer new export and import solutions for the domestic market as well as transhipment.
CMA CGM has run operations in the French West Indies market for several decades. Five lines connect the French West Indies to the rest of the World: the PCRF and Mediterranean Caribbean services offer direct connections to Northern Europe and the Mediterranean Sea, and 3 regional services offer transhipment solutions reaching the whole sub region.
