Clipper has announced it has been chosen to help Primark with its Click & Collect ambitions. The Clipper solution will provide online fulfilment capability, a store delivery solution via the Clipper “Clicklink” operation, and any associated returns management needs.
CEO of Primark Paul Merchant wrote: “Another proud moment for the Primark business today as we announce we will trial a Click & Collect service in the UK, building on the work and investment we have been making in digital. The trial, which will run across our kids’ range and across up to 25 stores in the northwest, will launch towards the end of the year and will give customers access to, on average, twice as many items as today.”
He continued: “We’ve chosen to trial the new service in an area of the northwest where we have a wide range of stores of different sizes and formats – we’ll confirm more details in the coming months and we can’t wait to see the customer response.”
CEO of Clipper Tony Mannix commented: “The Clipper track record in both retail logistics, e-fulfilment solutions, and the development of our collaborative, retail focussed, click & collect solution will all be put to great use in the Primark click & collect trial.”
