DANX, a Swedish spare parts logistics specialist, has won a six-year contract from BMW to perform in-night deliveries.
Starting in July 2016, DANX will deliver goods from BMW’s distribution centre in Malmo, Sweden, to over 300 vehicle dealers across the seven Nordic and Baltic countries.
The majority of parts will be transported by road, although air freight will also be used for some shipments to Northern Sweden, the Baltics, Finland and northern Norway, within a 12-hour timeframe.
DANX’s Group Director, Bob Thorhauge commented, “We were in many ways a perfect match. The scope of the contract is the seven countries where DANX has its own distribution network enabling us to do pre 07:00 deliveries.”
