XPO Logistics has announced it has won a multi-million pound contract with Kingspan Insulation Limited, a manufacturer of rigid insulation products and insulated systems.
Kingspan Insulation is a division of Kingspan Group plc which has operations throughout Europe, North America and Australasia.
Operating from Kingspan’s three UK manufacturing centres at Pembridge in Herefordshire, Selby in North Yorkshire, and Basildon in Essex, XPO Logistics is expected to make dedicated product deliveries to companies in the construction sector and to other end-users throughout the UK.
To support this collaboration, XPO Logistics is plans to utilise its shared-user national network and has invested in a new delivery fleet, including vehicle-mounted forklift trucks. Drivers are expected to use in-cab technology to provide full track and trace with a sign-on-glass system for real-time proof of delivery.
