Wincanton appoints Richard Gifford as CIO

British logistics company, Wincanton, has announced a new senior appointment to support the continued growth of the business. The company has appointed Richard Gifford as Chief Information Officer.

Gifford will be responsible for driving the IT and digitised strategy of the business whilst also ensuring that IT continues to support its’ growth and operational requirements. He will be based at the company’s head office in Chippenham, United Kingdom. Gifford joins Wincanton from his most recent role with Carillion plc where he has been CIO of their Construction Services and Group business units having previously held senior IT positions in other large plc and public sector organisations.
