Professor in Operations and Supply Chain Management, University of Bath
Brian Squire is Professor of Operations and Supply Management at the University of Bath and a Senior Visiting Fellow at Manchester Business School. Brian is also a director of Bathwick Research, a company providing bespoke research and consultancy in market intelligence and risk management.
Brian’s research and teaching interests lie at the boundaries of operations and supply chain management with a specific focus on the design of supply chains for resilience, sustainability and innovation. Research outputs include highly ranked academic journal papers but also knowledge transfer to industry in the form of risk software, methodologies, presentations, and executive briefings. He is co-author of the leading textbook ‘Strategic Supply Management: Principles, Theories and Practice’ that has recently been translated into Mandarin and Russian versions.
Brian has extensive experience in executive education with clients in both the public and private sectors. He aims to deliver up-to-date material in an engaging and practical style and has won Teacher of the Year Awards at the University of Bath (2011-12) and The University of Manchester (2006-07, 2007-08).
