SEKO Logistics has announced the appointment of Olya Lebedyeva to Vice President, Business Development. According to the announcement, the appointment is part of an effort to spearhead company growth into new markets through the recruitment of more Strategic Partners, be that existing or new customers, in the United States.
Based in Chicago, Lebedyeva is expected to work closely with SEKO’S current Strategic Partners to strengthen communications, sales and market development.
Lebedyeva began her career in the US with Alliance Airlines before joining SAS Cargo in Customer Service and Account Management roles. In 2008, and prior to joining Air Menzies, Lebedyeva was the Midwest Regional Manager for the cargo general sales agent, Platinum Air Cargo.
Lebedyeva joins SEKO after five years working in General Manager roles for Air Menzies International in the US. During this time her responsibilities included procurement with global carriers, managing the national sales team, and the development and launch of new products.
William J. Wascher, CEO of SEKO Logistics, said, “This is an extremely important position within our organisation because SEKO’s Strategic Partners have played, and continue to play, such a vital role in accelerating our growth and building our brand as a first class logistics and technology provider. We want to do more with our existing partners and bring onboard new ones that extend our reach and add value to the total SEKO offering. Given Olya’s reputation as an innovative developer of new products and new business, we are delighted to welcome her to our team.”
