Yang Ming reports 2017 volume growth of 9%

Container line Yang Ming has reported revenue growth of 13.6% in 2017, with volumes rising by 9%.

The company’s net profit, after tax, was $10.8m.

A recovering shipping market propelled the figures. Yang Ming also asserted that management centralisation, cargo structure optimisation and the integration of IT systems had helped.

Yang Ming stated that it “will continue to explore and develop new markets, optimize its fleet deployment, and take advantage of opportunities to minimize its operating costs and improve profitability, with the goal to provide customers with convenient and excellent delivery services.”
