Wincanton has implemented the latest platform edition of Manhattan Associates’ Warehouse Management System (WMS), in an effort to tackle the challenges of the retail industry.
Manhattan’s multichannel fulfilment solution will provide Wincanton and its retail customers with an order fulfilment approach that delivers an integrated, omni-buying experience for consumers, including more choices for how they buy and take delivery of their goods.
Liam McElroy, Managing Director Retail and Consumer at Wincanton, said, “It’s important for Wincanton to ensure we stay ahead of the curve and provide our customers with the very best in multichannel solutions. By building on the relationship we have enjoyed with Manhattan Associates since 2007, which has already included a number of successful WMS implementations, we can be assured that our specific requirements and those of our customers are not only met today but also anticipated for the future.”
McElroy also announced that one of the first Wincanton customers to use the latest version of Manhattan’s solution is Majestic Wine, UK specialist wine retailer. The solution will be used at Majestic’s National Fulfilment Centre at Wincanton’s shared user site in Greenford, West London. The new multichannel fulfilment solution will offer named and next-day delivery services to Majestic’s customers, who will be able to select from a number of fulfilment options, including click-and-collect and home delivery.
