UPS My Choice enables users to track location of delivery on a live map

UPS announced the launch of Follow My Delivery, a new enhancement to the UPS My Choice service. According to the announcement, more than 22m UPS My Choice members in the US are utilizing their mobile devices or computers and are now expected to be able to monitor the progress of their most urgent UPS® Air and UPS Worldwide Express® packages on a live map. The new Follow My Delivery map feature is planned to enable delivery recipients to see a detailed view of where their package is located when it’s out for delivery.  UPS plans to expand the Follow My Delivery feature to more services in the future.

Teresa Finley, Chief Marketing Officer, said, “We have continually improved the industry’s most powerful tool of its kind and today we made it even better.” Finley added, “Follow My Delivery is the latest example of how we use technology to improve the e-commerce consumer delivery experience from the point of purchase to the time of delivery.”

According to the announcement, UPS My Choice members are to receive an email or text message the day before a shipment arrives. If they won’t be home, they are then expected to be able to re-route most packages to their workplace, a neighbour’s home or a nearby UPS Access Point™ location.

The UPS My Choice service is a feature of the UPS Mobile App, which is available in 16 countries.
