ODFL launches new Texas centre

ODFL has expanded its presence in south Houston with the launch of a new Texas service centre.

“We’re pleased to expand our footprint in south Houston, and our new location puts us in a better place to continue the premium, efficient level of service our customers deserve,” said Chuck Powell, Old Dominion’s regional vice president of the Gulf Coast region.

ODFL began operations at the new service centre in December 2017. The 83-door facility has nearly twice the capacity of the previous building. The 37-acre location is also closer to key freight access points: William P. Hobby Airport, I45, I-69 as well as I-610 “The Loop” and the Sam Houston Tollway.

The facility will service a number of municipalities near Houston including: Katy, Sealy, Galveston, Brookshire, Pearland, Freeport, Missouri City, Stafford, Richmond, Rosenberg, El Campo, Sugarland, Columbus, Manvel, Alvin, Bay City, Friendswood, League City, Wharton, East Bernard, Sante Fe and Hitchcock.
