Nippon Express (South Asia & Oceania) Pte. Ltd., a subsidiary of Nippon Express Co., Ltd. has established two new branches in Laos, one in the capital city Vientiane and another in Savannakhet Province, and both branches opened for business on July 2, 2018
Laos has enjoyed economic growth in recent years, attaining a high 7% annual growth rate, and alongside Cambodia and Myanmar, it has been garnering attention as a hub for “Thailand-plus-one” manufacturing/processing.
Located at the heart of the Greater Mekong Subregion, Laos is becoming a keystrategic area for logistics operations connecting Thailand, Vietnam and China. Nippon’s expansion in the country reflects its expectations that logistics demand in the country will continue to rise.
