MCL Logistics joins Palletways

Wales-based haulier MCL Logistics has become the latest company to join Palletways, Europe’s largest palletised freight network.

MCL Logistics is part of the Monex Group, a family-owned business headquartered in Newport, South Wales. The company has three depots across England and Wales and will handle single pallet loads in addition to full load express deliveries for Palletways customers in NP postcode areas.

Oliver Jones, Commercial Director at MCL Logistics, said: “We’re joining Palletways because its strong domestic and pan-European networks will add value to our existing services. Palletways is a sector leader in innovation and technology and we were attracted to its Digital Information Hub and state-of-the-art monitoring and tracking systems to enhance our operational efficiencies. We’re pleased to be part of Palletways and are excited with the opportunities that being part of Europe’s largest palletised freight network brings.”

MCL Logistics was founded in 1984 and operates a fleet of over 120 vehicles which includes a variety of specialised trucks and trailers. It provides same day, next day and economy services to the steel, manufacturing, construction and motor industry sectors. It boasts over 90,000 square feet of warehousing in Newport and 80,000 square feet in Ebbw Vale, both offering storage, cross docking, gantry cranes, reworking and regional consolidation. It also has outdoor storage facilities in Newport and Port Talbot for containers, modular buildings and provides a full storage and distribution solution for its customers.
