Marken opens new operations centre in Zurich

Marken continues expansion of global footprint by adding new depots and additional hubs in the US, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Ireland and Switzerland.

Marken has opened a GDP-compliant operations centre in Zurich, Switzerland, in response to increased demand from local pharmaceutical companies with growing clinical development programmes.

The facility, expanded and relocated to serve its pharma clients in Switzerland, is located near to the Zürich Airport (Kloten) freight terminal. It includes office and warehouse space with refrigerators and freezers available for temperature controlled packaging, full security and is connected to Marken’s global ‘Maestro’ operating system. The centre is expected to be capable of collecting and shipping clinical drug product from the Zurich gateway.

Wes Wheeler, Chief Executive Officer for Marken, commented, “Marken has built a global logistics network specifically designed to meet the needs of the global pharmaceutical industry.”
