Logwin reports double-digit revenue growth in 2017 thanks to Air + Ocean division

Logwin has reported revenue of €1.1bn in 2017 on the back of revenue growth of 13.0%. Its operating result (EBITA) was €38.1m.

In the Air + Ocean segment, Logwin noted healthy volume growth in the year, though it characterised the market environment as “challenging” due to limited carrier capacity, particularly in air freight. Supported by increased freight rates, air and ocean revenues increased by 20.8% to €753m, though its operating margin decreased from 5.8% to 5.1%.

In the contract logistics division (Solutions), despite “continued high price and competitive pressure”, revenues reached €368m, virtually the same as last year’s figure of €369m. Operating margin improved however from 1.4% to 1.8%.
