K+N splits EMEA management structure in three with two units for Europe


Kuehne + Nagel has announced plans to establish two new organisational management units, Central/ Eastern Europe and Western Europe, from its existing EMEA structure as of October 1, 2016, in order to better exploit business opportunities in the European markets.

Under the umbrella of the region Central/ Eastern Europe, with its head office in Hamburg, Kuehne + Nagel plans to consolidate the German organisation and the Eastern European countries. The region Western Europe will be headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands, as of October 1, 2016.

Hansjoerg Rodi will join the Kuehne + Nagel Group effective October 1, 2016, and lead the Central/ Eastern Europe region. From 2008 to 2015 Rodi was Chief Executive Officer Central Europe region at DB Schenker Logistics.

Peder Winther will become Regional Manager Western Europe. His successor in his current position as Head of the Middle East/ Africa region will be Erwin Wittemaier.
