Jan de Rijk Logistics reports healthy growth in 2015


Jan de Rijk Logistics has announced its financial results for 2015. It reported an increase in revenue to €216m in 2015, and an operating result of €16.6m, an increase of 4.4% year-on-year. Accordingly, the company’s operating margin stood at 7.69%.

The company stated that its acquisitions of de Rooy Logistics and Omega Logistics, and further diversification contributed to the improved results. Through these acquisitions Jan de Rijk Logistics continued to increase its healthcare & automotive logistics portfolio. The company also stated that the contract logistics division showed solid growth.

Jan de Rijk said that the slowdown of the Chinese economy, the disruptions at EU border crossings due to the migrant influx, and different currency fluctuations were the main challenges during 2015.

The company stated that its outlook for 2016 is modestly optimistic, although overall economic growth has been limited so far.
