DSV has established its Solutions division in North America, as it looks to position itself as a global player in contract logistics.
Following its acquisition of UTi, DSV instantly became a significant contract logistics player in the region. Solutions’ footprint now covers 19 US states, one Canadian province (Ontario) and eight Mexican states. More than 60 logistics facilities comprising over 16m sq ft are staffed by 3,500 people. Formerly, the Denmark-based provider operated just a few sites in North America.
DSV offers typical contract logistics services in the region such as inbound transport management, storage, picking and packing, value added sWServices, consultancy and VMI programmes, among others.
As of October 1, 2016, all UTi sites have been rebranded as DSV. The new division – DSV Solutions North America – is headed by Michael Marlow.
