Transsion Holdings, a mobile phone manufacturer, has appointed DHL Global Forwarding to provide air freight services from Transsion’s manufacturing centre in South China to 28 countries in Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
The contract calls for DHL to transport mobile devices and spare parts from Hong Kong Airport into Africa and India, with value added services including customs clearance and haulage to Transsion warehouses. The solution is further supported by ocean freight coverage from Shenzhen, China to Dubai, Saudi Arabia, India and across Africa – including Guinea, Ghana and Tanzania.
Transsion Holdings sold 59m mobile phones in 2015 through its brands Tecno, itel and Infinix. The company has a presence in Africa and is expanding across emerging markets.
