BLG supervisory board appoints new director of Automobile Logistics

The Supervisory Board of BLG have appointed Andrea Eck as Director of the Automobile Division of BLG Logistics Group.

As of January 1, 2017, Andrea Eck will succeed Michael Blach, who will join Eurogate’s Group Management team and be responsible for the Container Division on the Board of Management of BLG Logistics.

Andrea Eck has been employed at Volkswagen AG since 1985. Previously she completed her training as industrial management assistant at Volkswagen AG, Kassel.

During her time at Volkswagen Andrea Eck had a wide variety of responsibilities. She was Group, Production and Logistics advisor to the Board of Management, and later took over as Plant Logistics Manager at VW AG’s Emden plant, headed Vehicle Logistics at Volkswagen Konzernlogistik GmbH and finally worked as Head of the Logistics Campus and managed logistics for a vehicle project in China.

“We on the Supervisory Board unanimously endorsed the personnel proposal of the Nomination Committee because we are convinced that with all her experience in the automobile industry Ms. Eck is just the right person at this time to successfully tackle the present and future challenges in the Automobile Division,” commented Dr. Stephan-Andreas Kaulvers, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, on the nomination.
