APL adds port calls to its Bosphorus Express service


APL has announced that its Bosphorus Express (BEX) service will be making additional calls at Beirut, Lebanon, and Iskenderun, Turkey, extending market coverage of the service that serves Asia, the Mediterranean and Europe.

“APL is expanding our presence in the Asia Mediterranean/Europe trade lane where we currently offer 7 services that connect Asia to the Mediterranean and Europe. With the 2 new port additions to the BEX, we will markedly improve coverage of the Eastern Mediterranean to meet our customers’ growing needs,” said Calvin Leong, APL’s Chief Trade Officer.

With the new port calls, the BEX will now call at the ports of Kwangyang and Busan, South Korea; Yangshan, Ningbo, and Chiwan, China; Port Klang, Malaysia; Port Said West, Egypt; Beirut, Lebanon; Iskenderun, Izmit, and Istanbul, Turkey; Constanta, Romania; and Odessa, Ukraine. The first sailing will depart Kwangyang on July 27, 2016.
