UAE-based Al-Futtaim Logistics has opened a 15,000 sq m distribution centre in Riyadh, complementing an existing facility in Jeddah.
Both facilities handle goods for fashion, footwear, hardware, DIY, furniture and home appliance retail brands.
The new facility caters for both B2B and B2C channels. Inventory can be distributed both directly to stores or homes.
“Consumer needs are constantly changing and Al-Futtaim Logistics’ corporate outlook is to develop the road distribution network and cold chain in the Saudi Arabia to service the expanding customer base,” Raman Kumar, Managing Director of Al-Futtaim Logistics said.
“Our expansion in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reinforces our confidence in investing in the economy which is in line with the UAE government’s vision of enhanced bilateral trade between the two nations,” he added.
