UTi Worldwide has opened a new contract logistics facility in Mexico to support its clients in the automotive and high-tech/electronics industries.
UTi’s latest facility, in Irapuato, features an initial 2,500 sq m of multi-client warehousing space with handling capacity of 2,800 pallets. The facility enables valued-added contract logistics including VMI, sub-assembly, kitting and other services, such as the development of ship-to-line models. The facility is located in the Bajío area of north-central Mexico.
Reyvid Villegas, UTi Director of Operations, Mexico said, “We are excited to support the growth of our clients in this rapidly developing location.”
UTi already operates contract logistics, freight forwarding, cross-border and distribution facilities totalling 70,000 sq m in Mexico.
