UTi Worldwide announced that its Frankfurt, Germany, office has relocated within Cargo City South to a facility that serves the growing needs of its air freight forwarding clients, particularly those in the pharmaceutical industry.
The new, energy-efficient facility includes 3,000 sq m of office space, 6,700 sq m of warehouse space, 10 truck docks, 10 ft and 20 ft roller beds, and a 6 m by 4 m ramp for direct goods delivery. The cross-dock warehouse operates 24/7 and follows set security standards. The facility will also be equipped with cold-chain features such as -20°C, 2-8°C, and 15-25°C active temperature-controlled sections with 265 pallet bay capacity meeting pharmaceutical good distribution practices standards.

The facility is the latest development of UTi’s pharmaceutical forwarding capabilities in Europe, such as its expanded cold-chain facility in Rome, Italy, and its Brussels Airport, Belgium, CEIV Pharma certification
