“K” Line appoints Eizo Murakami as President and CEO

Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (“K” Line), a Japan-based shipping company, has announced the appointment of Eizo Murakami as its new President and Chief Executive Officer. He will replace the incumbent President and Chief Executive Officer, Jiro Asakura, on April 1, 2015. Following the changeover Asakura will become “K” Line’s Chairman.

Eizo Murakami first joined “K” Line in 1975. Since that time he has held a series of increasingly senior positions that saw him reach Executive Officer in 2005 and Vice President in 2014.
