Con-way Multimodal, the freight brokerage division of Menlo Logistics, has announced the appointment of Gregory L. Orr as president.
Orr previously was vice president of operations for Con-way Multimodal. As president, he becomes responsible for leading the Frisco, Texas-based company’s continued market growth and development, directing financial and operating performance and maximizing business opportunities with other Con-way Inc. transportation and logistics business units.
“Greg’s leadership and transportation operating experience are key to the growth and success we have experienced at Con-way Multimodal,” said Gary Kowalski, senior vice president and chief operating officer of Menlo Logistics. “We are very pleased to have Greg lead our fastest- growing division. His management skills and industry experience will provide the leadership to continue Con-way Multimodal’s growth and development well into the future.”
Orr joined Con-way Multimodal in 2008 as vice president and general manager at the company’s Portland, Ore., operation. Previously, Orr worked with Greatwide Dedicated Transport in Dallas, where he was vice president of operations, overseeing 16 locations across the United States. Prior to that, he was vice president/account general manager at Schneider Logistics.
