Goodman has announced that its Lytton Motorway Estate facility is fully committed, seven months prior to development completion. The facility is located near Brisbane in Queensland, Australia. Silk Contract Logistics, a contract logistics provider, is the tenant pre-leasing the final 10,821 sq m of the 39,681 sq m warehouse development.
Goodman’s General Manager Australia, Jason Little said, “Goodman’s ability to secure customer pre-commitments for over 39,000 sq m of speculative space demonstrates the strong demand for quality warehouse facilities in Brisbane and our continued commitment to providing our existing customers with flexible, high quality property solutions.”
Earlier this year, Silk Contract Logistics committed to a 19,910 sq m facility at the estate to service its Queensland distribution requirements. The ongoing growth of its business has resulted in the need for Silk Contract Logistics to take additional space, increasing its total commitment to 30,731 sq m, on an initial 10 year lease term. The latest deal follows the recent commitment by Yusen Logistics for 8,950 sq m of warehouse space to serve as its own Queensland distribution centre.
