Mainfreight/Wim Bosman expands on business park at DocksNLD in the Netherlands

Mainfreight/Wim Bosman continues to expand its facilities in ‘s-Heerenberg, the Netherlands. Due to the growth of the global logistics service provider, Somerset Capital Partners Management B.V. has bought 44,000 sq m of land on the business park DocksNLD and will develop a state-of-the-art distribution centre. 

The centre is expected to be completed in May 2017 and will aim for achieving the BREEAM-NL ‘Very Good’ completion certificate. The rental agreement with Mainfreight/ Wim Bosman is for several years and the company will provide services to multiple customers.

The distribution centre will have a total size of approximately 26,000 sq m. With this, Mainfreight/ Wim Bosman will expand its European footprint to more than 320,000 sq m of warehousing space. 

Following the land transfer, Mainfreight/ Wim Bosman and the Montferland municipality signed a land reservation agreement for DocksNLD ‘s-Heerenberg. The municipality hereby grants Mainfreight/ Wim Bosman exclusive right to acquire the reserved land in the next few years, for further expansion.
