DSV constructs warehouse for German drug store chain dm-drogerie markt

After a decade of growth, the global contract logistics market contracted by 3.3% in 2020, as a strong H2 prevented worse outcomes.

DSV has built a 42,100 sq m warehouse in Bochum, Germany for drug store chain dm-drogerie markt.

The facility is the seventh that DSV has built on behalf of its client. It has a ground area of 90,000 sq m, 40,000 sq m terminal space and 2,100 sq m of office. The new warehouse offers twice as much capacity than the previous. The facility distributes to 250 drug stores in the region.

DSV has worked with dm since 1986. DSV manages 180,000 sq m of space for dm in total, delivering 12,000 pallets to stores all over Germany using more than 1,000 trucks daily.
