Kewill awarded supply chain ecommerce contract by Weetabix


Kewill announced it is working with the Weetabix Food Company, a cereal manufacturer based in Northamptonshire, UK, to replace its existing UK client side electronic data interchange (EDI) infrastructure with the aim of improving trading partner communications of commercial documents.

According to the announcement, Kewill is expected to fully manage and support new electronic communications for Weetabix processes with the company’s UK and European trading partners and as well as potential future expansion with partners worldwide.

Logan Tweedie, Group Head of IT & Business Systems at Weetabix said, “It was important that our chosen ecommerce solution would allow for the future expansion of Weetabix’s EDI trading community both in Europe and the USA. We needed a platform for increased supplier adoption, with the flexibility to easily add trading partners and new message formats as our business dictates,” adding, “Kewill has provided us with a proven, scalable software solution, and a reliable outsourced managed service that will allow us to reduce costs in this area and focus on our core strengths.”
