CaroTrans announces expansion of LCL network


CaroTrans, a global non-vessel operating common carrier and ocean freight consolidator, officially announced 11 new, direct LCL import services between China and the US including; Ningbo to Los Angeles, Oakland, Seattle, Chicago, New York, Miami, Dallas and Houston as well as Xiamen to Los Angeles, Chicago and New York.

These services were launched late August 2015. CaroTrans also announced an alliance with PortEver Shipping Ltd., based in Ningbo. According to the announcement, CaroTrans plans to continue expanding its direct port pairs between China and the U.S.

Greg Howard, CEO of CaroTrans said, “Consistent and frequent LCL services provide the supply chain options and flexibility shippers need today. With this new cooperation with PortEver, we’re broadening our China-US scope of import services to address the needs of our logistics service provider customers that are looking for alternative service solutions.”

In March 2015, CaroTrans added two Shanghai import services including Seattle and Atlanta, representing CaroTrans’ sixth and seventh direct services from Shanghai to the US. In total CaroTrans offers over 60 direct China-US LCL import and export services.

Throughout the US, CaroTrans has a network of container freight stations and 13 offices.
