UPS Freight announces new service centre


UPS Freight announced the addition of a 28,000 sq ft facility in Franklin Park, US, to add to its existing greater Chicago area network which includes UPS Freight centres in Aurora, Chicago, Palatine and South Holland.  The Franklin Park facility is comprised of 66 docks for the loading and unloading of less-than-truckload (LTL) freight. 

Kevin Hartman, President of UPS Freight’s central region said, “Business growth in the greater Chicago area has driven demand for UPS Freight’s capabilities,” he added, “This new building addresses immediate needs and positions us for the continued expansion of our customers’ businesses.”

It is expected the facility will load and unload LTL freight shipments from around the US as well as provide pickup and delivery services to customers throughout the greater Chicago area.
