Amazon announced plans to open a nearly 500,000 sq ft fulfilment centre in Joliet, Illinois, US, the first fulfilment centre in the state for the company.
Amazon stated that the fulfillment centre would process smaller items, such as books, electronics and consumer goods.
The facility is to be developed by GLP.
