GEFCO UK and BWI Group have announced the renewal of their partnership for a further two years. GEFCO UK provides complete inbound European supply for manufacture in Luton, UK, which enables BWI Group to maintain 24 hour operations.
GEFCO UK’s relationship with BWI Group, a chassis supplier that designs and manufactures brake and suspension systems for the global transportation market, began in 2010. Under the partnership GEFCO UK provides daily groupage, less than truck load and full truck load delivery services from suppliers in Germany, Poland, Portugal, France, Spain and the UK into the BWI Group plant in Luton.
GEFCO UK has also started operational workshops with the BWI Group to further develop efficiencies on routes and network planning. This is paired with the use of GEFCO’s integrated network for shipments via the EuroDailyService that enables support for the increase in inbound volumes into the UK. Additional services can also be provided should any changes in BWI Group’s supplier base come into effect across Europe.
